We (Myself, Lep AKA Christine & Lousie AKA Keb ) found the Night and Day pretty easy, thanx to my great sense of direction :-D lolol. Someone has to praise me :-) We parked up outside a sex shop, much to Louise's AKA Keb's dismay lol. The Night and Day Cafe is a pretty cool little place in a backstreet of Manchester. We got a drink and started chatting to the barmaid. She was asking us about Kasim and stuff, she told us tons of cards, flowers and pressy's had arrived for him :-) The venue were really impressed with all the stuff that had been sent. We got some food, then went shopping... Time was getting on by now so we took Lep back to the venue to save us a good spot at the front of venue and to wait for Chris and Yvonne to turn up. While myself and Lou went to pick up Andy who had been slaving away at work while we were all out having fun :-) After getting lost and having to be navigated over the fone we finally got back to Andy's. I've since found out that on this trip back to Andy's I broke the speed limit :-( According to Andy this stretch of road hardly ever has any film in the camera. just my bloody luck they did today! So I now have 3 points on my license to look forward to and a nice fine. So Christine, when you were thinking I wasn't rushing enough to get back to you, you were wrong my dearest friend lol.  And I have the points to prove it.

Finally we got back to the Night and Day. By now Yvonne and Chris had arrived. We all sat right up front ready to see Kasim. Before the show I went to the toilet. Not something you all want to know I'm sure lol, but this is Kas related. While I was down there washing my hands and stuff Louise came down. ( the toilets were downstairs in a small corridor) She was stood talking to me while the main toilet door had been propped open. Suddenly I heard her say "Hello Kasim" to which I heard a "Hi" back. I was in shock. I looked around the door just as Kas was doing a double take as well lol. He stopped and had a chat right in the doorway of the ladies loo's, which just happened to be right outside the door to the dressing rooms. This made Louise's night :-) I don't think she could ever of imagined that this would be her first meeting with Kasim lol. We went back upstairs and watched the support acts. The first one was Michael. An interesting performance. The rest if the acts kind of blurred into one as I was distracted with catching up with people that were there. It was great to catch up with Susan and Alex at the show as well. Alex your enthusiasm is wonderful :-D

Finally it was time for Kasim to come on...

I saw loads of Kasim's opening sets on the Couldn't Have Said It Better" Tour, but this was the first time I'd seen a full Kasim solo show. It was totally amazing! Even better than I ever could ever of imagined. We had a great spot right in front of the stage. Kasim's voice was the best I've ever heard it. Words can't describe how great this show was. If you haven't seen a Kasim solo show yet, you must! This show was a nice intimate show in a small venue with about 40 -50 people. Kasim had the audience captivated.  My personl favourite of the night was the Jose Feliciano song "Rain"

At the end Kas got a standing ovation from the crowd. If the venue had let him, we'd of been happy for him to play all night long!

Hurry back to the UK soon Kas. Now we've had a taste, we all need more! Plus Sam and Heli need to see a show or two lol.

Small review by AndyK ~ Great show tonight ... 40 minutes of pure acoustic Kasim brilliance and then the audience inspired encores (no idea which rowdy crowd at the front ensured that happened).

Kasim admitted to the audience he was more nervous in the bar there than he had been in front of thousands at Harewood last night. But he soon warmed up and went down a storm with the hardcore following (both Meat and Tood/Utopia based) and with the other audience members who were there to see some of the other artists on the bill.

Kasim posted in his blog about this show - Scroll down to near the bottom

Yvonne Benders great Pix & Review
