KASIM SULTON'S SOLO SET

I wasn't going to get to the show until Meat came on because of leaving the baby, but I read on Kasims mailing list that he'd opened at the US shows, so I got there in time for the supports hoping he'd be opening here as well. I managed to get there with a little while to spare & luckily Kasim came out all on his lonesome with his guitar & a stool. It was amazing to finally see Kasim solo. The pictures aren't as good as I'd hoped as my cameras playing up & I opened the camera while the film was still in! ( I blame it on my brain being mushy peas since I've had Jake lol) but I still got a few.....

Kasim started his set with the familiar "Don't hold me back" Which myself & Sam ( my 13 yr old daughter who is a huge fan of Kasim & "The Basement Tapes") knew straight away...

He then went on to say about the new album Quid Pro Quo & played a track called "Before she was gone" Kasim was joined during the song by Mark Alexander & John Miceli...

Kasim then said he had one more for us, while strumming his guitar, he then said it sounded absolutely terrible. He then changed his guitar saying "It's a poor workman who blames his tools"... He then said thanks for being patient, know ones going  come on... to which someone shouted out "Come on" Kasim said thanks very much now I feel right at home.. He then introduced the last song as "Sacrifice" I personally thought this song was the best of the set, Its an excellent song. If these 2 songs are anything to go buy the album will be excellent...

Kasim then said to stick around as Patti Russo was up next. Kasim got a huge round of applause as he left the stage..........
