EUROPEAN TOUR PAGES '98

Hi all

           Just back from the trip of a life time - don't really know where to start but here goes anyway.

             We left England on Mon evening, Myself Laura ( Jovifan2 - go see her web page too) Suzanne, Kathryn & Nicki. With various people joining us along the way!!!!!!! Hi to you all.........

         We've spent the last two weeks sleeping & living in my car & are all still alive to tell the tale LOL...  Loads of ups & just as many downs ( as some of you may of witnessed LOL - don't worry its all ok now - just spent to much time together with no kip!! )

              As I'm a bit late with the reviews of most of the concerts I'll just add bits to them. Plus we have a lot of good story's about the band etc...... I can't remember to much detail about each individual concert (sorry) but I know that it won't be the same just seeing Richie as a guitar player. He is totally amazing.........  With so much talent.

           I'll be there for you, Wanted, Bad medicine ( This he does sooooooo good... ) etc.... will never sound the same without Richie on lead vocals. Rich done all the Jovi songs so well. Each time I heard them they sounded better (if that's possible) he definitely has his own style of singing these songs & it really worked well. The whole band were so good together . No offence to Bobby Bandiera but Jon & the Big Dogs just wasn't  right. Richie & the others were missed so much. Yet with Richie & the band it just seemed so natural - as if it was meant to be. He also sang songs from both Stranger & Undiscovered soul. I was totally in love with US before but after hearing the songs sung so wonderfully each night I'm completely won over by it... Stranger (I'm ashamed to say) was not very often in my cd player before the tour - but that has all changed now - "THE ANSWER" was the best song of the whole tour....... Along with the rest of the songs from Stranger. I can't put into words how excellent Richie is as a solo artist. There were also lots of amusing moments on stage to. ( sorry again but I can't remember which show each came from )  SEE A MORE DETAILED ACCOUNT HERE....Undiscovered soul was also one of my big time fav's of the tour. It is sooo good live - much more ummphhhh.... (couldn't think of a better word LOL, any better suggestions?)     It started with an Indian type style to it ? Richie Supa started the tour by adding his own bit to it ( 'Till our Ship comes sailing in) he done a funny wave sort of thing!!!!!!!! The next night the crowd done it back to him.... We told him one day not to forget to do it that night & he said that Rich had noticed it the night before & asked him "what was doing". He said that he'd told him that he'd better not do it at Shepherds Bush - LOL !!  In Amsterdam me & Lor stood in front of Richie Supa & just before it got to "the bit" he looked at us & pointed to us.. We got ready to do it with him but HE DIDN'T DO IT!!!! He just laughed at us instead...  I'll be there for you was another fav from the tour ~ the ending was so good especially in Germany,  the audience  really got into it. when Rich stopped singing the whole audience started singing

"I'll be there for you ~ oh oh oh ~ oh oh oh ~oh oh oh oh ~ I'll be there for you.....

It was really cool & Rich obviously loved it. he even said that maybe that was the way it should of been written LOL.

              There were loads more memorable bits that hopefully I will get added soon.....

             I know myself, Lor Suzanne, Kathryn & Nicki will never be the same again after this trip. To have the chance to see so many solo shows was a once in a lifetime thing & I'm sure that's how long we'll remember it for!!!!!!!

                Richie, Richie, Kasim, Tommy, Ron, Crystal & Hook - thank you all so much for making the tour so great you are all such brilliant musicians. Please all come back soon....
